life vs internet + level up

Well the big news for me is the fact that I leveled up :)

When we went to level 60 system I was level 25, I have enjoyed the fact of actually leveling up more often. If you weren't around then sucks to be you.

Life been interfering with my net time for some time, I normaly keep a lot of my off net time away and not around here. Well as far as my net time, I thought, I was going to get back to being more active. Then life play a little twist of fate on me my Grandmother who been having health issues was back in the hospital. The good news is she back home, I can't speak for the rest of you out there, but I have spent a lot of time on the net. Not with family at all. I been making up for that latly. While there still time.

While Ng still fun and I come daily, I think everyone needs to think how them spending endless hours on the net. They may end up regreting how they spent the time. While I don't regret anything, maybe it's because really the lure voting on new things on the portal just offers nothing to me anymore.
I've gotten some pm's saying I should try to claim my spot on top back, and really what would that prove.
Nothing, as far as I'm concerned. Only thing it would show is that I only care about points, I started way back, it really wasn't about the points, it was to help clear out the crap in the portal. Now while I wll admit I have been driven at different points to vote a lot entries. I have lost more potential blams or protects, than anyone would even know. Why, because I voted what I thought the flash deserved.
Now I do admit I have an off sense of humor, so I know what may appeal to me may not appeal to others, and I can deal with that.

Didn't mean for that to drag out, to sum that up don't expect a return to the portal. I do plan to get back to doign some flash reviews. So I plan on getting back to doing some of those. So if your a flash artist, like feedback, I not sure when I'll start, so leave a reply if you want. It will give me a place to start.

Other stuff, goingback a couple, I ment to psot about this earlier I had a little fun thingI did where I predicted thier vp, well a lot of people asked what there's were goingto be back on 1/01/08.
I like to proudly say I was absolutly right. For those who kept up the depostis of course. That was the one stipulation of the whole thing.

Expect to see more more aroudn the BBS as well.

Well in 100 days I will get to level 48, day 1 starts tomarrow Jan 28th. So that will make it early May about the 7th.
Yea from what I have heard it is a bit simular to God of War.

I don't know if I'll ever resume my crazy B/P'ing days. Once I hit Supreme Commander, the fatigue just blew me out, and I'd need some major incentives to take up the all-day Portal runs again.

Struck a chord. The internet is a tool and a toy. Like any toy, it can be tempting to play for longer than sensible.

<a href="http://braid-game.com/news/?p=129">Jo Blow</a> would say that the B/S points are just fake rewards. Once it stops being particularly fun or beneficial to anyone, we should really stop.

Of course, I'm thankful to those who honestly rate the UJ stuff and form the judgement crew, but there's enough folk who'd enjoy seeing stuff of 'variable quality' once in a while that stat-whores shouldn't feel pressured into continuing if they aren't enjoying the fundamental activity.

I'm impressed that you managed to keep your enthusiam for such a long time. I myself stopped voting on new flashes on a regular basis years ago, although I do on ocasion select a few movies to do so. You'll probably want to stick to the 5 daily movies regiment (so as to keep the exp), but not much more than that.

And well thought out movie reviews are something that I particulary find helpful to flash artists, even though I have few reviews myself, specially new and upcoming one's (such as myself and my latest flash which I would appreciate a review off: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /419203). You may even find it more rewarding, since many artists give feedback to their reviews.

Glad to see you leveled up again. I know how you feel about the life interferring with the net time. I wish I would of figured that out sooner then I did but at least I can try to rebuild all that i've lost in the process.
